Grass Roots Football Tournament

Fylde Neighbourhood Policing team were on duty today on Leach Lane and Blackpool Road North, assisting our colleagues with any parking issues.

We are pleased to report that most people parked in a courteous and responsible manner.

We only had cause to issue three fixed penalty notices for obstruction of a highway.

Please may we take this opportunity to remind blue badge holders that the badge is not a licence to park anywhere or in any manner. If a vehicle, even one displaying a blue badge, is deemed to be causing a very real and unnecesary obstruction, or danger to other road users, it is subject to enforcement, including towing.

We will be on duty again in the morning, in the same area, to assist the organisers. Please continue to park responsibly, not on a pavement, not within 15 metres of a junction, not in bus stops or obstructing a residents driveway. This ensures that everyone can enjoy their day safely.
